Blogging always seemed a tad too personal, too wordy and overall a tad too intrusive even when purely factual. Words are used to express our unique way of seeing the world, and I wasn’t sure the world was ready for mine.
I’m quite sure it still isn’t, but hell, I’d love to share my little nuggets of knowledge with the world, and where better than your own website hmmm? True, this is my on-line portfolio for my photography, but my inspiration comes from everything I’m passionate about, so it’s a space to speak about pretty much anything and everything that makes me, me and my work, mine.
So a little bit about me – I’m Rei (pronounced Ray for those not aware of Japanese culture). I’m passionate and fascinated by photography (I couldn’t not put it now could I?), food, travel, adventure, human connections, good deeds, passion, self-expression, love (and all things nice and sparkly), hate (pure curiosity of), Japan, gaming, comics, Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace, Wabi-Sabi, Bill Hicks, weather, nature and pasta (I realise this is covered by food, but trust me, it needs its own mention).
I plan on changing the world, but not sure how as of yet. That’s not a statement boasting of my presumed importance, more that it’s my mantra, my own personal meaning of life (42 is so overused). If I die and I haven’t at least saved one person’s life, or at least made a whole handful of people’s lives better then it will be all for nothing.
Anyway, less of the deep nonsense, and back I go to editing.
Rei
